Rashi started creating seriously on Instagram on 1 January 2026. She gave herself a 30-day challenge to see if it was working. She had about 4K followers when the team reached out. At the same time she wanted to leave her job, and she says she was in the middle of a transformative phase.
She was already growing, but she wanted mentorship. "I wanted someone to make my creative side of the brain even more creative," she says. She took about a month to decide, and spoke with Riddhima many times, along with her parents. Then she decided to give it one year.
Her content back then was mostly horizontal reels, talking about topics near her window. It worked, but it was getting monotonous for her and her audience. She knew something had to change.
It was important to her that people knew she had a podcast, something beyond Instagram. With the team, she started talking about her podcast in a storytelling way, without selling it. At the end she asks people to comment "podcast" for the link. Those reels got 300 to 400 comments, and her podcast views went up by 1,000 to 2,000.
Experimenting was hard when the old format was working. The first podcast story reel had about 6,000 views for three or four days. Then it picked up, reached about a lakh views and brought conversions. That gave her confidence. Her 1 minute 34 second reels now get more comments than her 30-second ones.
She holds a book with the mic attached to it while she talks. Now big publishers want to send her their new books, just to be featured.
She sits with Arushi every week, even when she has nothing specific to discuss. Over the last two months she has become calmer. She stopped comparing herself to others and started enjoying the process of creating.
Rashi went from about 4K followers when the team reached out to about 17.5K. More important to her, she now feels she is building a brand. People know what to expect from her, and she knows what to put in her content. "I'm very clear about my positioning," she says.
Her podcast grows along with her Instagram. In her first year, at 23, she has made 25 episodes and interviewed people in their 50s and 60s, and she has done it on her own. Publishers now reach out to send her their books.
Her mom is her biggest fan, and is excited for every 1K new followers.
These are Rashi's own numbers, shared with permission. Results depend on each member's effort, niche and starting point.
