Copyright/DMCA Policy

This Copyright/DMCA Policy (“Policy”) explains how Imperfect Labs | India's Biggest Content School & Personal Brand Accelerator (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles allegations of copyright infringement on https://imperfectlabs.net. We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same.

1. Scope and Applicability

This Policy applies to all content hosted on or transmitted through https://imperfectlabs.net, including user-generated content (comments, testimonials, uploads, links). Use of our Website is also subject to our Terms of Service and User-Generated Content Policy.

2. Repeat Infringer Policy (17 U.S.C. §512)

In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), it is our policy to:

• Terminate, in appropriate circumstances, users who are repeat infringers.

3. Submitting a Proper DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content available on https://imperfectlabs.net infringes your copyright, send a written DMCA notice to our Designated Agent (see Section 7) that includes ALL of the following (17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)):

1) A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyrighted work.
2) Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are covered).
3) Identification of the allegedly infringing material to be removed or disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (the exact URL(s) on https://imperfectlabs.net).
4) Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
5) A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6) A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

4. Our Response to Takedown Notices

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice:

• We will promptly remove or disable access to the material identified.
• We may notify the user who posted the material so they can submit a counter-notification.
• We may retain records of the notice and our actions. In some cases, we may share the notice (with personal data redacted where appropriate) with the user or relevant third parties as required by law.

5. Submitting a Counter-Notification (Restoration Request)

If your material was removed under a DMCA notice and you believe it was removed due to mistake or misidentification, you may submit a valid counter-notification to our Designated Agent that includes ALL of the following (17 U.S.C. §512(g)):

1) Your physical or electronic signature.
2) Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access disabled (the exact URL(s) on https://imperfectlabs.net).
3) A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
4) Your name, mailing address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, for any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice or that person’s agent.

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed an action seeking a court order to restrain you from engaging in infringing activity.

6. Misrepresentations (17 U.S.C. §512(f))

Submitting a DMCA notice or counter-notification that materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing (or was removed by mistake) may expose you to liability, including damages and attorney’s fees. If you are unsure whether the material is protected or your use is lawful (e.g., fair use), consult with an attorney before filing.

8. Removal, Restoration, and Account Actions

• We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material upon receipt of a valid notice.
• We may, at our discretion, notify the uploader and provide a copy or summary of the notice.
• We may terminate accounts of repeat infringers and document strikes or violations.
• We may refuse to restore content where we reasonably believe further infringement would occur.

9. Third-Party Hosting, Caching, and Linking

Content accessible on https://imperfectlabs.net may include embedded or linked third-party materials. Where we do not store or control such content, our ability to remove it may be limited. We will evaluate any notice and take appropriate steps within our control and within applicable law.

10. Standard Technical Measures

We accommodate standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect works and will not interfere with such measures, provided they do not impose substantial costs or burdens on Imperfect Labs | India's Biggest Content School & Personal Brand Accelerator.

11. Non-U.S. Rights and Other Claims

If you are asserting rights other than U.S. copyright (e.g., trademark, moral rights, neighboring rights, database rights), or if your claim arises under a non-U.S. legal regime, please clearly identify the jurisdiction and rights claimed and provide supporting details. 12. Reservation of Rights

We reserve the right to remove any content at any time for any reason, with or without notice; to refuse any notice that is incomplete, frivolous, abusive, or fraudulent; and to share information as required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
